ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT - NO CALL CENTRES - abbey fuelcards offer all of our customers one point of contact, who will deal with all of your fuel card enquiries.

ONLINE ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT - to support our fuel management team, where fuel cards can be ordered and stopped and site information is provided.

CARD MANAGEMENT - fuel cards can be set up for individual drivers or vehicles on your fleet. Every fuel card that you receive will have a directory specifying the sites available in the UK. Fuel cards can be placed on stop promptly, we aim to have all replacement cards to you within 7 working days.

INVOICE MANAGEMENT - with a weekly invoice by post or email, detailing all diesel and petrol transactions by fuel card, driver or by vehicle. Payment is by Direct Debit 14 days after invoice offering you up to 21 days interest free credit.

DATA MANAGEMENT - fleet management reports on fuel cards, drivers or vehicles can be provided. These can be sent on a routine basis and provide valuable fleet management services to your organisation. Mileage is recorded at the site and as long as it is given it will show on the reports.

FIXED WEEKLY PRICES NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE - one weekly price valid wherever you draw from our nationwide networks, no more regional price variations! To ensure that you are receiving the most competitive fuel price on a weekly basis we send either a fax, email or SMS to inform you of the following weeks price.

We monitor our fuel prices daily to ensure that we are always competitive with other fuel suppliers, here in the U.K. The prices for our Shell, Texaco and Diesel Direct networks are individually set to ensure that you are receiving the highest level of service for the cheapest possible price.

VAT RECLAMATION - a recent European court ruling in Holland stated that VAT can only be reclaimed against fuel purchased directly by the company. By using abbey fuelcards you can avoid the risk of not being able to reclaim 17.5% of your diesel and petrol costs by becoming the direct purchaser of the fuel rather than your employee.

ENGINE DAMAGE - according to independent research published by the Consumers' Association, the 2% saving in filling up on lower grade fuel may result in a 7% increase in fleet depreciation caused by increased engine damage. abbey can help you by only providing you with quality diesel and petrol.

NO CASH TRANSACTIONS - and all of your diesel and petrol purchases will be recorded on our weekly invoices

FUEL PURCHASES - all transactions on the card are restricted to diesel, petrol and oil only preventing your driver's from using the card to purchase confectionary at the sites.

DRIVER NAME OR REGISTRATION NUMBER - fuel cards can be signed by the driver and this signature is checked in the same way as a debit or credit card. Where the registration number of the vehicle is embossed on the card, fuel should only be able to be drawn for this vehicle.

abbey Diesel Direct also has the following exclusive additional security features:

Card Insurance - liability is with the fuel card provider as soon as the card is confirmed as lost or stolen.

Actionline - a 24 hour helpline, where fuel cards that have been lost or stolen can be put on stop.

"Query Drawing" system - where if an irregular drawing is made (e.g. unusually high/frequent) you will be notified to ensure that the card is still in your possession.

Early warning system - your cards can be set a maximum drawing limit and notification is given should a driver exceed the limit.

abbey online+ - allow you to stop cards 24 hours a day and check your drivers transactions on a daily basis so you have total control of the drawings on the account.
