Each year there is one very special show at London Fashion Week: the Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show. This star-studded and inspirational event, organised by Breast Cancer Care charity at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, aims to demonstrate that anyone can feel confident and look amazing after breast cancer surgery regardless of age or background. Attended by a host of high-profile supporters of Breast Cancer Care including Geri Halliwell, Jemma Kidd, Natasha Kaplinsky and Mariella Frostrup, it also has the important function of raising money for the charity - and this year the goal is to raise over £475,000.
This year the silent auction is sponsored by abbey Fuelcards, who are dedicated to providing the highest levels of service and security within the fuel card market. abbey offer competitive fixed weekly fuel prices through a convenient network of stations through the UK, for example the Shell network. Their significant bulk buying can help members save on their weekly fuel bills, while the VAT registered invoicing, dedicated account management and free management reports can help to reduce administration costs.
abbey is very proud to be a sponsor of the auction, which will enable guests, using handsets with the latest wireless technology, to bid for an array of spectacular auction lots including a weekend in Prague, Geri Halliwell’s dress and the chance to test drive a Lamborghini, and much more.
Breast Cancer Care has been working for over 30 years to make a difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer, and every year gives direct support to over 22,000 people with breast cancer or breast health concerns. Bob Sturgess, abbey’s Chairman, commented: 'At abbey we believe strongly that business has a positive role to play in the community, and are very pleased to be a sponsor of this unique event, doing what we can to assist the invaluable work of Breast Cancer Care.'
